A More Thoughtful Approach to Hair Color
Our low-tox commitment starts with our color and lightening system.
We use Areté, a professional color line built around the idea of intentional formulation and high-performance results. The name Areté comes from a Greek concept meaning excellence: doing something with care, purpose, and a high standard.
Color and bleach are some of the most chemical-intensive services in the salon industry. Areté’s Alchemic Color system allows us to create everything from dimensional brunettes to lived-in blondes using a full range of intermixable shades, high-lift blondes, tone modifiers, and professional lighteners. Because we specialize in blonding and lightening, this was especially important to us.
The line is formulated without many of the most common irritants found in traditional salon color, including PPD, resorcinol, and added synthetic fragrance, and designed as a lower-tox alternative to conventional systems.
Instead, it’s supported by ingredients that help maintain hair integrity during the color process, including conditioning oils, aloe, and bond-supporting elements that help strengthen and protect the hair.
For us, this means we can offer cleaner hair color and low-tox blonding services in Gainesville without compromising the quality, lift, or longevity our clients expect.
Low-Tox Haircare & Scalp Health
Our approach extends beyond color into everything we use behind the chair.
We carry Areté’s haircare and styling line, which focuses on scalp health, hydration, and long-term hair strength. These products are formulated without sulfates, silicones, phthalates, synthetic fragrance, and artificial colorants, while still performing at a high level in both salon and at-home use.
